Dylan Levesh-Raabe

Dylan Levesh-Raabe has been blowing glass since 2004. A graduate of Massachusetts Art and Design Sculpture department with a concentration in glass in 2011, he has since spent the last 15 years working for various studios throughout the Northeast, specializing in lighting and design objects. With a focus on surface, texture, pattern, form, and color, his designs emphasize ideas of place, personal memory, and an appreciation of the natural world through the Venetian traditions of blown glass. His work is built off of an interest in the historical traditions of Roman glass making, combined with an influence in modern and contemporary ceramics to create unique designs that heighten the purity and beauty of the natural material and reflect on the contemporary ideals of American Studio Glass
